Zonova

Privacy policy

Last updated 20 October 2026

In short: Zonova has no account, no server and no analytics. Your health data is read on your phone, stays on your phone, and is never sold, shared or used for advertising.

Health data

With your permission, Zonova reads workouts, heart rate, steps, distance, energy and body measurements from Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android). It uses them only to show your activity, trends, zones, records and replays. Zonova does not write to Apple Health or Health Connect.

Health data is stored only on your device. It is not uploaded to us or anyone else, and it is not synced to iCloud. You can withdraw access at any time in the Health app or in Health Connect, and deleting Zonova deletes its stored data.

Maps

To draw maps for routes and replays, Zonova downloads map tiles from OpenFreeMap. Like any website, that service receives your device's IP address and which map area is being drawn. Your workouts and health data are never sent. On iPhone, some maps are drawn with Apple Maps, under Apple's privacy policy.

Photos and sharing

If you save an image or film you create, Zonova asks for permission to add it to your photo library. It can't see your existing photos unless you pick one yourself. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.

Face ID and fingerprint

If you turn on the lock for body data, your device checks your face or fingerprint. Zonova never sees your biometric data.

Children

Zonova is not directed at children under 13.
